Auld lad looking to buy a new tractor
Has an old 165 mf About 1976 starting with a small loader ok condition
Also has a 880 fiat. - 1984 - will go with a pull start - body a bit shook - only one door with a tanco 800 loader
He Was thinking of keeping the tanco loader and getting a 100 hp tractor & using loader again
Maybe a landini , new holland or similar
Budget of about € 10 k with whatever he gets for the two old tractors ( hoping € 5- 6 k
Any advice on what & where to buy a new one & sell the old ones
    Thanks

Iv been looking at much the same, sum of the old MF 399 tractors on dd don't seem a bad price. I see a few Renault tractors for a good price to. They arnt bad for a farmers tractor. Have a look at done deal.

would he get 4000 for the 880, and perhaps 3000 for the 165?

Not gonna get much new for 17,000. Get a smashing second hand Deere 6600, or Ford 7840, and get one with a loader already, or better yet, one that never had a loader, and a suitable loader for it. The hassle of making brackets for your old loader, and the likelihood of bending it in a hoop with the newer 4wd tractor. ( unless its one of them Cameron Gardiner high lift things).
