Lads had my best ever round today.

So that is me jinxed for am.

I'm officially declaring myself a 25 point lad.

Charlie did I get a stroke on my handicap from other day :) ?

I'm officially declaring myself a 25 point lad.

I had one of those on Wednesday, after a 69 on Saturday in the medal, and 38 points in Tulfarris on Sunday, I rock up to Killeen, a course i know as well as me own and shoot a measly 11 point front 9 followed by 14 on the back!

I will be happy to break 30 on Saturday

No stirring on the labour front lads, I have her sent up to bed for the day in case any movement brings it on.

I'm getting a bit hopeful at this stage... Fingers crossed.

It's some game when you don't want your kid to arrive to ruin a round!!! :(:)

Here is the link for the live Leaderboard

    http://clubapplive.com/golf/index.html?clubid=309#pgLeaderboard

Our friends at ClubApp have been very good to supply this for all our events this year at no cost.

One player in each group needs to enter the scores for their group, just straight stable ford points, it's very easy to use. Hopefully we have good 3G connection on the course.

I will let everyone know the password in the morning.

    See you all there

    J

Can't wait for tomorrow lads. Had a quick look at the course this evening and it looks in great condition.
Can I be put in early group as I kinda need to be back around 6-7ish tomorrow evening?
Also am I off 6 or 7 tomorrow? :) I've gone back up to 9 recently.

I will certainly try. The game is a bit up and down with my last two comp rounds 42pts :) and then the following day with 32pts. :(

I got out today on my own and worked on a few things and left the course happy. Hopefully the society get to play Carlow in all its glory with some nice weather

Just home half a hour or so, and really enjoyed Carlow, great course and pleasure to play with stevieob and reganovski. Really happy with my 34 points on course I didn't know and is really easy to leave yourself short sided on the greens. Hopefully I'll have a chance for the longest drive, creamed one up the 16th :) only downside of the day was I couldn't hang around afterwards!

Great day out and a great course, not as finely manicured as some of the top courses maybe, but it doesn't need it.

Some cracking holes on it and I'm struggling to think of a bad one.

Pace of play was fairly good too :)
We got around in 4:15, considering that there were members and another society out before us, that's pretty damn good.

Thanks to Dar_Cool and Roadrunner for the game. A pleasure. Dar was giving the field a target on the front nine. A joy to watch.

Wasn't feeling great standing on the 3rd tee with 0 points.
I was sick of the site of finding my ball behind a tree on the front 9!!!
Got lucky a good few times on the back to even it out.
    34 points.

Thanks to Charlie et al for organising.
Charlie, get another measuring tape, that bloody thing weighs a tonne :)

    Great day out.

Anybody shooting over 30 pts there is good golf. Maybe course not at its finest condition - but great change in height and variation on the holes. As said above - not a course to be on the wrong side of a green - so playing before is an advantage.
Another course to visit in the summer.

Knew I'd have a bit of a fall from the dizzy heights of yesterday - and regretted not taking a few practice putts , when I had a 4 putt on the first - 3 4 putts in total - bad day on the greens. 29 pts. Still dug in and made an awful day an ok day.

Nice round with Golfgraffix and Ballyk. Ballyk and I had a good match - him taking me on the last ;) .

Macker - that is savage golf off scratch , never mind a handicap. 3 over around the back there is amazing in what was at times a 2 club wind. We were saying we have a new single figure golfer on the way and now a new Ryder Jug player. Many past players on the way out.

Tigerwood - happy to see you in the winner's circle - after many attempts. Hopefully you make the team. :)

Charlie was giving me stick over my putting in last years Ryder Jug - I know , was hoping that was gone.

Then he told me he had 45 putts today (lol) - Charlie had more putts than Macker had points - now that is an achievement.

Great drive - Athlone - by 3 yards past.

I'm not touching a golf club again for at least a month. An absolute disaster today. Only plus was I finished with the same ball, I just couldn't put it in the hole!!!!

Congrats to macker on the back to back wins and it was a great sight to witness that round today on a very tough course.
Well done to tigerwood and parlance aa well.
Thanks to everyone for making the effort to come and see ye again shortly.

If you click on the link, then at the bottom click "live scoring". Then click... "tap for today's matches" at the top and then Boards.

I am not much of a drinker but tonight I am, need something to drown my sorrows, I think that is the worst score I have had in a few years.

Thanks to Ballyk and fixed for the round sorry for the sullen face, I normally try and stay focused but today was disastrous.

    This link shills work http://clubapplive.com/golf/index.html?clubid=309#pgLeaderboard

Well done to the winner, it was a tough day. I was quite disappointed by the course, it's been a few years since I had been there and it has really gone downhill, still nice but a shadow of what I remember.

Link doesn't quite work.. they need to follow the sequence I posted above. That clubapp is fairly cool... would like to see that at my own club for some big comps.
