Would this bed be ok for a small room?

The only thing that is of importance in a small bedroom is that you have enough space at each side of the bed to place a bedside table. The bed is actually more important and if you like that bed, go for it.
Keep the rest of your decor in the room light, bright, airy and simple :)

ETA That looks like a bed skirt/valance only on the bed. So it doesn't actually come with the bed. Which would mean you can see under the bed.

We spend a significant portion our lives in our beds, so choosing one you're happy with is crucial! If you like the bed in your post, there are other things you can do if you think the room looks small. A simple trick is to add large mirrors on one of the more spacious walls.

Avoid hanging mirrors on two opposing walls at all cost. I've tried it and it looks funky :P
