Hi, im travelling w my cat to Malta soon, and he has the rabies vaccination, microchip and EU passport, so those things are ok.

I phoned Lufthansa, and they told me that my cat is able to travel with me either in cabin, or in cargo for fee of 75eur/100eur.

But when reading in Dublin DAA airport website, it says that pets are not allowed in the airport..

So.. has anyone travelled with pets from Dublin airport and how it works?

That obviously means that you cannot bring a dog or cat into the airport if you're simply meeting someone, it does not apply to animals being transported out.

Q: I want to bring my pet on a flight, is this possible?

A: It very much depends on the airline and which country you are travelling to/from. For further information contact your airline and Department of Agriculture, Food and Marine

That applies to people who are not traveling, bringing pets into the airport that are not restrained/contained in the appropriate manner. It won't apply to you as (a) you are traveling and (b) your cat will be in the water tight, bite proof & scratch proof pet carrier, that Luftansa mandate all pets be in. At least, I presume that it will be.
