I'm having trouble retuning my reciever to pick up the BBC channels, the signal strength is 80% and quality is 40% sometimes higher, but when I attempt to put in any uk postcode it just says 'invalid postcode',any ideas on what to do?

The Freesat postcode data is carried on the weaker Eutelsat satellite (transponder C5 - 11.428), looking at the signal figures you post above they appear to be on the low side. The dish may require a slight realignment or maybe a slight adjustment on the LNB skew might work.

Another option might be to tune it in on someone else's working dish, once tuned in may operate normally on your dish. I've come across this before.

Thanks, may well be the LNB,repaired it recently after some storm damage but had all the channels except lost BBC and Film 4 over the weekend, but Film 4 stater working again earlier tonight, thought it may have been a tuning problem with the channels having been moved.
Back up on the roof with the sat meter again so it seems!!

I have a Sky Dish, can the LNB's for these be bought seperatly?

    Yes, http://www.tvtrade.ie/satellite-dishes/sky-satellite-dishes.html

You need to know which Mark (2, 3 or 4) of dish you have before ordering.

I think the LNB is fine, its the bracket holding it in place that's damaged, had a few cable-ties holding in place but obviously its after moving so
