Speeding Ticket

Not sure if this is the right forum mods?

I got a speeding ticket on 6th March, didn't have my licence on me at the time as I was on the way to the airport to go on hols, had to produce my licence, tax, nct at my nominated guarda station, did that a week later, all fine. I still haven't received the actual ticket, I just phoned my nominated station to ask about it and he checked and said there's nothing in the system to indicate a ticket for me, I asked what to do and he advised me to do nothing, just wait, I probably will get it 'at some stage' but maybe I won't. Helpful.

I just want to pay it and forget about it, has anyone had this happen to them and what did you do?

How did you get a speeding ticket on 6th March if you havent actually got it yet. Seriously, the boys in blue are pretty quick to issue these tickets, usually in less than a week. You should get the fine & penalty points within that timeframe. The fact that you have'nt and the Gardai telling you there's nothing on their system is hopeful, so keep the head down for another while.

I know, I thought it would be waiting for me when I got home!

    Head down and fingers crossed!
