Employed or self-employed

    Hi everyone,

I am currently doing an assignment in employment law and I need to understand whether or not the person is self-employed or not.

She works as a sports Journalist.

the whole thing is about a discrimination case based on a someone with gender identity disorder.

Her contract states shes working under a "contract for services" (self-employed)

but she has an office at her place of work, she also has a supervisor monitoring her performance at work.

She also informed HR of her decision to come to work as a female now and HR told her that was okay but to dress back as a man when she is interviewing people.

Does any of this constitute as her being an employee? and if not does someone who is self-employed have rights under discrimination?

    Thanks in advance.
