Buying with Primary Medical Certificate

Hi... My wife is now in receipt of a primary medical certificate and we are exploring our options re a new car. We like the look of the Yeti and could offer our 2010 Octavia estate as a trade. But given that she would be entitled to relief on VAT and VRT, we are wondering whether this means it would cost us relatively little to swap a 2010 car for a 2014 (realise we'd still have to pay for certain adaptations). Thoughts? Thanks

Average VRT on cars is quite small these days given that emissions are a lot lower even on mini SUVs. The savings aren't as big as they were a few years back.
A swivel seat could cost the same as the VRT. You will also get VAT back though, which is a bonus but you'll still spend a good bit.

The father is entitled to vrt and vat back ect and his fiesta titanium was 12600 cash price (giving the revenue cheque to the garage once it comes).

I think normal price was about 18500 approx. The swivel seat was 900 excluding vat. The 12600 included that. He sold his 12 fiesta privately for 11,100.
