    Hi Folks,

Can anyone suggest dublin-based clubs that run good league races? I've good fitness, but insufficient confidence/experience to venture near open races this year. It looks like I've missed the deadline to join Orwell and register for their league by a week or two. Am I too late for most clubs at this stage of the year?

    Cheers!

Lucan or one of the other clubs involved in The Club league?

Any info regarding league races? Recently moved from Cork where the Fermoy, Aquablue and North Cork league races are now starting, 3 nights racing a week if one wants it, wondering if there is anything similar in and around Dublin?

Here is the info/link for St. Tiernan's, who are members of this league with UCD, Lucan, Sth Dublin and Usher-IRC. You will find routes, dates and formats.

League starts soon, and I think the names have gone in, but it might be worth checking and moving fast on this, in terms of membership, and getting your name in. The Tiernan's sec is a Boardsie: Daragh_ you could PM him.

Depends where you are based really - McNally Swords northside (racing in various Meath outposts;)) and the Inter-Club league southside/west of Dublin (Usher Irish Road Club, Lucan, South Dublin, St Tiernans, UCD)

There's also open events at Mondello (a number of Tuesday evenings) and the opportunity to race at Sundrive velodrome if you can get accreditation (Wednesdays from the end of this month). Once you've "grown up" (40 or older for males, 35 or over for females) the IVCA is available, but they have closed applications for racing this year

A bit further afield Drogheda run a league for around 6 weeks starting some time in June
