Irish Registered Business, Invoicing to Spain & other EU countries?

A brief question I'm having very little help with from gov. websites (or maybe I'm searching in the wrong places).

I am currently working in Spain, self employed 'autonomo', but have decided to set up a business with another partner (also Irish).

We are opting to register with CRO as an Irish business name and partnership, for the simple reason that the red-tape and costs here are extremely prohibitive, e.g. €3,000 up front to simply register a name, plus waiting times of 8 weeks plus, and a lot more paperwork.

The big question is: once we have an Irish business name and no., and we're both working in Madrid (or Valencia etc), could we invoice for services using this business, also using another Spanish address?

We're dealing with a consultancy business: skills training, seminars, training plans, sending trainers to offices etc - not a physical product.

    Any advice is appreciated, thanks.

You need to establish if your plan could be in breach of Spanish tax laws and so need specialist local Spanish professional advice. On the face of it, with no centre of operations in Ireland, it looks rather dodgy to me!

This is only an observations and as peter said get professional advice.

Would it make sence to have a virtual office in ireland as your head office. Since your company is registered and set up here you could register for tax here as well. Your office in Spain would then be a sub office. Unless there is a particular reason your clients/customers in Spain expect you to be complete based there you could have both address on your letter/invoice heads.

Is your business based in Ireland or Spain. Registering an Irish business name does not based your business in Ireland. In fact registering a company in Ireland does not by itself base the company in Ireland.

You should seek specific legal and taxation advice from a professional.
