    Hi all,

Woke up this morning and didn't notice that a part of my mirror went missing last night. I am assuming it's down to someone banging off it somewhere and I just missed it...

It'a an Astra 05. Obviously a breakers yard is the place to go, but is there a name for that part before I start ringing around?

Is it just called "the front of the mirror"?

Combine that with a missing sump guard and no time.... :(

Cheers, seems like a stupid question, but I am 100% sure it will be a nightmare to find a replacement part in silver...

was a bit of a pandemic in castlebar a few years ago, a mystery person or group was robbing these left right and center

Maybe mine got robbed. I only noticed it this morning, but was parked in the college car park, someone may have snapped the mirror back getting into their own car...

No damage at all, just gone...

    Vauxhall Astra Wing Mirror Cover

Check out micksgarage.com or some such place, I guess?

How is the mirror itself? Is it out of place? If not, someone nicked it. If given a bang to which the casing came off, the mirror would be out of place (someone hit my mirror, and the casing came off, and the mirror was just hanging).

Looks to me like some scumbag nicked it as the rest seems to be intact and undamaged. It's called the mirror outer casing or housing. I would pick one up from a scrap yard. If you can get one in silver then happy days but if not then just give it a few coats of a spray can from your local motor factors.
