Were paying 150 an acre for good ground. Depending on demand in your area I suppose. Average ground : 100 to 120 an acre maybe. What do ye think guy's?

Depends on maps and is it for grazing or silage? Payed 150-180 for silage ground fertilized last year but demand was insane

120 is probably a fair price but depends on where you are. Land in the Carlow area for example would make double that this minute without a problem.

land is suitable for round bale machinery only. land is average but got reseeded last year. id worry about weight of pit silage machinery on it unless it was in the height of summer - a good summer.

if one guy takes it for bales and doesn't want maps - can i give maps out to another guy?

What your asking there is probably can I knowingly help someone commit fraud. I don't think anyone on here can tell you that you could.

Are the maps not to show you have use of the land. Therefore anybody leasing the maps without the land must want to claim they have rented land they haven't. I can understand why somebody might rent land and not be bothered about the maps if they only want meadow from it.

I'm not an expert but it might be possible to rent to the guy who wants the maps and he could sell standing silage or contract rear cattle for the guy that wants the land.
Or some kind of partnership maybe get advice from tegasc adviser or someone who agri adviser
If ye can work together and money works out the same there is probably a legit way of doing it.
