Hi, just wondering did anyone apply for the above in the last month or so? I applied way back in February and haven't heard a thing - my status is still down as "New Candidate" whereas other AIB things I applied for, I was rejected pretty quick. :o:) Just wondering if anyone has been called to the aptitude test?

    Won't bump this again, mods.

Just wondering has anyone heard anything?

I applied a few weeks back, and quickly got an "unsuccessful". If you log in to your aib profile you should be able to find the status of your application :)

If it is still as new candidate, I would take no news and possible good news

Yeah, I've applied for other jobs with AIB where I also swiftly got an 'Unsuccessful' status but this one has been at 'New Candidate' for over a month. It's still be advertised so the closing date probably hasn't yet passed. Hopefully I'll get to the aptitude test stage.

Hi Ann, yep I'm in the same boat. I have applied for three IT jobs and this is what I see:

*I see "Automatic (next-step)" but this hasn't changed since I applied for that particular job.
*I see "New Application (next-step)" on a couple of other jobs I have applied for and again no change since I applied.

I emailed them last week wondering what the craic is, but have gotten no response to date

Maybe it's that they wait until they have enough applicants for the aptitude stage test before they notify people? I've done an aptitude test for them before and they are tightly run thing that probably take a lot of organisation so they probably just want to get them all done in one go.

But take heart, it's a good sign. I've applied for other jobs before where I was very swiftly rejected! As in, your status changes to 'Unsuccessful' the very next day, that quick!

This is true... the closing dates are quite drawn out too!

Now, don't take what I said as gospel, just going on my prior experience with AIB. :)

Eek, OK, I'm bumping it again. Sorry!

This ad is no longer on the AIB Careers site, has anyone at all heard anything? I'm still a "New Candidate".
