how does your desktop look?

Looking forward to my first build coming next week, got me thinking about how I'm gonna layout my desktop screen

I would ideally like a cool wallpaper with a dark woods in the background with a hangman's noose on a tree.

As for program's, I will be looking for realtime info on the temp of the system as well as how everything is running, top right hand corner, with the info in green text like on a fighter jet HUD

1 folder for games, 1 folder for steam, hide the recycle bin and that's about all I can think of for now.

What's on your desktop? Show it off to give me some inspiration:)

Haha man you got more enthusiasm for this than I do for turning girls with low self esteem inside out same rules apply....

I like the creepy desktop screen with sinister undertones. Try get a chair already knocked over to suggest the rope has already been used. And maybe a carved inscription on the tree, like the film shawshank redemption "john was here"

As for the HUD.. interesting idea. But beware , it may mess with your mind. " wtf why is that temp shot up" sometimes It's better not seeing all ignorance is bliss haha.

i think its all due to the fact that so far my ps4 has let me down. i know it will come into its own but i wanna play games and i wanna play now!

like the idea of the chair being knocked but doubt i will be able to find an already drawn picture with john was ere

you may damn well be right with the HUD display. will have to give it some serious consideration now after your wise wordst

Ha Same boat with ps4. Was an impulse buy really. Didn't know about any of the lack of streaming or games, its only for fan boys at this early stage.

What games you plan on getting?

teamspeak is pretty cool for gaming and a lot of multiplayer servers use it.

Look into custom desktop applications. Most of them are free and they do exactly what you want...display system information and allow you to customize the look and feel of windows.

Edit: I think Rainmeter is the most popular one out there, friend of mine suggested using rocketdock along with it. Should give you the customization you want however between the two of those.

Deskspace looks funky, but it's shareware (Ie: not free).

My desktop generally rotates around these too. I hide desktop shortcuts and my toolbar.

Heres mine, running a cheap second 17" monitor along with my 24" LG. Left is a bit of a mess but like to keep the right clear for whatever im working/gaming at the time. Also the left has links to 90% of what i use on a regular basis.

Loving the Arrow Desktop. The show is fantastic. Last episode

with the reference to Harley Quinn was pretty sweet.

Also, whoever cast Deadshot is a genius. He plays Deadshot so well.

I find this a great site for wallpapers and where i got most of mine. Just narrow it down to your screen resolution and away you go. http://wallbase.cc/random

Desktop in link. Nothing unusual really. Left is my LG 24" IPS, and the right is my LG 32" LED TV. The Monitor is on my desk, and the TV is in the corner of the room. EDIT: Task bar is oversized because I like to browse/read of the TV from time to time.

I used to keep everything tidy, but when I switch between surround for raving games and then break it back to 3 monitors it always gets messed up and jammed in to one monitor. At this stage, I just dont care.
