Teaching in the U.S.

    Hi

    Ive seen 1 or 2 threads covering this topic but none that have actually given solid info.

    Im wondering if anybody can shed some light on an NQT's chances of teaching in the US...

    There is no chance really! If you have the right to work there you stand a much better chance, but you will not be issued a green card solely for teaching.

    If you are a British citizen, the best chance is through one of the British schools that advertise on TES from time to time. I am not fully sure if they accept non British citizens for visa purposes.

    There are other exchange programmes set up that may get you in, more details can be found here.
