    Hi

Ive seen 1 or 2 threads covering this topic but none that have actually given solid info.

Im wondering if anybody can shed some light on an NQT's chances of teaching in the US...

  • There is no chance really! If you have the right to work there you stand a much better chance, but you will not be issued a green card solely for teaching.

If you are a British citizen, the best chance is through one of the British schools that advertise on TES from time to time. I am not fully sure if they accept non British citizens for visa purposes.

There are other exchange programmes set up that may get you in, more details can be found here.
