Hi folks, can anyone tell me what salary I will be on when I start my first SHO job this July? I'm hearing €35k from some but €38k from others. Do 1st year SHOs get time + Quarter for overtime or time + half? Thanks. I know this stuff is on IMOs website but I don't have a password for accessing it.

    Cheers

Overtime is paid at time and a quarter for SHOs and above, double time for Sundays and BHs. Time and a half is for interns.

Re: salary scales, the HSE site suggests a starting salary of 38,839, but I have a feeling this might be a little less in reality (lots of cuts since then).

    myself first SHO.

I am getting €38,839 annually according to my payslip. But there are a lot of taxes which I suppose everyone has to pay.

Vorsprung has written correct figures regarding overtime pay.

I am not sure when am I going to be on 2nd SHO point, any idea? some people said after 10 months, is that correct?

Another question is that do I have to fill annual leave form and get it signed by my supervising consultant for public holidays like St. patricks day in order to get normal pay for that day?

No pay any more if you don't do call on public holidays.

    Not from my experience.

Yes you should. If you don't then you use that day as unpaid leave but get a day of annual leave to use.
