played in a four man scramble here last monday and must say its a gem of a course.
The weather and the company helped but its a course that has plenty going for it and i look forward to playing it again.
The guy in reception was nice and the girl who served us grub after was very friendly and it reminded me of my home course in that respect.
My fav hole was the 15th a par 3 over water (a six iron to 10 feet swayed me a little)

Yes, I always enjoy a visit to DS. Nice course and a no nonsense operation. The revised layout improved it too - reduced some of the treks between holes. A bit far for me to play there regularly but always handy to drop into Kildare Village!

Very enjoyable course. I always enjoy the seemingly endless arguments around that par four dogleg as well...!

    Isn't it a par 5?

Jayz, I wish I'd known that before dumping a ball in the trees with my second!!! I think its a par 4, but am open to correction. Its been a couple of years...

The one with the wall along the right? Pretty sure that's a 5.

    I looked it up - you're correct! Par 5, 6th.

    Dreadful golf hole

    Dreadful golf hole

    Let the arguments recommence!
Not my favourite either but I suppose some might fancy a go in two over the corner. Otherwise it's a pretty straightforward 5: two straight shots to the corner and a wedge (two tier green the only defence.)

    Worst hole I've ever played.

Sounds like a scratch and a few lost balls!
Seriously though, I can think of quite a few worse.
    Should I start a thread?

Nah. My first albatross came on this hole.

Did you spend long looking for the ball?

Right... nah he's straight, straight in the hole.

Don't know how you can dislike a hole that you've had an albatross on Jazzman.

Personally I like that hole, almost always bogey it ;)

Last year for winning their open you got a voucher to play the course again. Is this still the case?
