    Hi All

Have to get an mpv to fit three child seats, looking for an economical model (aren't we all)

can anyone recommend a petrol (or diesel) mpv with tax of 390 or less ie co2 less than 155g

Dont get so hung up on the tax. Road tax is actually one of the cheapest part of motoring after depreciation/fuel.

If it was me, I'd buy a petrol on the older tax system and LPG it. Excellent condition premium model petrol MPV's on the old tax system can be got for buttons.

VW Touran comes in a petrol 1.4 TSI may be an option. I agree with mullingar too on tax.
Maybe first start to look at cars and MPVs that will fit your seats there's a number of threads here already on that.
Once you have narrowed down then looks at the engine variants and other costs.

Touran will fit 3 child seats in the 2nd row - individual sliding seats so can be staggered to stop the seats rubbing against each other.

Various options of the 1.4Tsi, 1.9Tdi, 2.0Tdi 110 Bluemotion, 2.0Tdi 140 and more recently the 1.6Tdi Bluemotion, should all have failry decent emissions.

Current diesel models of the Touran are between 119g and 140g depend on engine/gearbox combo. Avoid the 1.4Tsi 170 DSG, not noted for reliability.....

One issue I would have with LPGing an MPV is the already tight boot space when you have to lug around all the kids stuff. Particularly relevant with compact 7 seaters when 6th or 7th seat is required.
