just looking for someones knowledge here! i have a 2001 mondeo petrol 106000 miles on it. has been running fine until the last few weeks where it seems to want to rev to 3000/4000 before it gets power to move . i have it over a year and since i bought it the engine managemengt light was on, it went through the nct with it on last year .
anyway my intention was to always sell it on and i have an estate that iv bought and will be trying to sell on the mondeo.

question is whether its worth fixing or just selling as is ?

there is also a 'clunking ' noise coming from the front but nobody seems to know why .
(it has two months nct left, fairly sure it will go through again, its rarely used )

A fresh NCT would help and it can be done 3 months in advance of it's due date. Even if it fails at least you have the fail sheet for a potential buyer rather than them facing the unknown. I'd also try and source cheap plastic wheel trim for it, would make a huge difference to the appearance.

i was kind of un sure to do the nct as i feel on a car where i might get 400-450 , i dont see the worth, but i may just send it through if i get an appoi ntment . the wheel trims are needed but its great seeing the little scrots in the area jump when you pull in at the shops thinking your a 'garda rat' as iv been called !!
