BMW F10 CiC iDrive network connection

    For those in the know, the CIC (Professional iDrive since 11/2008 on E6x etc), is a fascinating piece of kit.
    It is a Linux QNX distri running on a Becker made computer/radio.

    Being a Linux based system, it can communicate on ethernet (network).

    What is possible to do with this is the following (Non exhaustive list)

    - Upload new navigation map, no need for a FSC code
    - Activate the navigation feature without an emulator/FSC code
    - Copy your music collection straight from your PC

    But here are some pictures to give you an idea of the process
