Griffeen Glen / Bus Routes / Any other info

Hi All,

Looking at a house in Griffeen Glen and would like to know more about the area. From Lucan but have been out of the country for a few years so not too familiar with Griffeen, any info / opinions would be appreciated.

Also working in town so does anyone know what bus you would get an how long it takes into town ( D'olier Street )?

Lived there for a few years..some of the cul de sacs nicer than others. Quiet enough unless you face onto the park. We had issues with visiting GAA teams parking across our driveway/in our flowerbeds/across the road blocking the driveway...and also some anti social behaviour, mostly youths drinking..and vanishing into the park at the first sign of the Gardai.

I'm not 100% certain if the buses are the same but it used to be the 25A and the 25X into town. The A went through Chapelizod and the X (rush hours only) took the bypass. The Dublin bus website should have further information including expected journey times.

25a/b, 151 and 25n Nitelink, each route is quite different, so pick and choose carefully. 25x doesn't serve the area any more, but the 25b operates via the Chapelizod Bypass and gets you to O'Connell Bridge in about 45 minutes.

Put your exact locations (Griffeen Glen and work / study) and relevant dates and times into www.a-b.ie and tweak the settings. Select "take neighbouring stops into account for origin and destination maximum 20 min walk".

There is the possibility that Kishoge train station will open, but no guarantee. It's a 13-20 minute walk from Griffeen Glen and there will be a car park.
