    That is a cock salmon after spawning and on his return journey to sea

    Can be called kelts , slats. In cork and I even heard them being called judys down in Kerry ha

    I hope you didn't keep it and try eat ,id imagine you would get quite sick

    Caught one myself a few weeks ago but it was In much better condition , they are normally a lot leaner than a fresh salmon and if you look at his gills you would more than likely see maggots

    Ya spent fish... Isn't it amazing the journeys these fish take, further prove they don't feed in freshwater... Lol...
