CMax Springs & Shocks

OK, here's the deal. 06 CMax 1.8 TDCI, both front springs broken at the bottom, car driving OK, just sitting a little lower than usual.:o
Most places want €80 per spring and around €70 for shocks. This seems to be a pretty average price, nothing out of the ordinary.
I then found this on online automotive (I have bought of them before, they're not cowboys):

Those seem to be very good prices and at least the shocks are a recognisable brand and still well priced.
    A few questions:
Are the springs an option at that price? Is this a recognisable manufacturer?
    And finally:
I have all the necessary tools and a friend will lend me some spring compressors, how hard is it to do this job?
Will I need other bits as well, since the car has done 280k km?
I jacked the car up and checked for play at the wheel, but there seems to be none in any direction and the rest of the suspension looks good.
Do I even need shocks? What is the life of one of those babies?
Am I wasting money changing it now, or is it better that I do?
Any suggestions/hints/tips are very much appreciated, thanks.

I don`t know about that particular brand.

As for changing the shocks it easy enough with proper tools and lift.

Disconnect top first (might be single or two or three bolts binding the shocks to the body)
Raise car up, disconnect brake lines, abs, droplinks, etc, then shock lower mounts.

Compress springs with topmount still on!
If you use separate ones, do both at the same time in small increments, try to catch as wide openings as possible, and keep them straight as possible. If they at an angle you risk slippage, its very dangerous.

When spring can be turned around freely you are good to continue.
Loosen topmount bolt, you need to hold the shock shaft to prevent turning.
    Disassemble shock.

Put everything back on the new shock, position spring so its correctly seated, tighten topmount(you might need new ones, calculate that too), then decompress spring.

Fit shock in reverse order, make sure bolts are tightened on the ground, under load.

Do a wheel alignment when ready.

    Good luck.
