I wouldn't be at all surprised. I watched his initial facial reaction when he was down, and he looked fine. The punch that did the "damage" was the left hook. When it landed he was heading down. The following right barely connected at all.

Just don't see what Scott would have to gain by taking a dive. Unless he's up to his neck in debt, I can't see another reason as to why he'd do it. He's pretty much lost any credibility he had as a potential title challenger and will probably struggle to get any more big name fights. Shame because I actually quite like Scott, he's quite skillful and moves very well for a heavyweight although he has practically no power.

They have sparred plenty and it seems Wilder sparked him at some stage as well as regularly getting the better of him, so I have to wonder was Scott just looking for a quick way out rather than take a beatdown.

If you look at the left hook it's poorly delivered, more of a slap with a loose wrist than a proper hook.

It gets worse every time you see it. Maybe there was enough on the left?

Scott said it was the left hook that "did the damage" but there didnt seem to be much on it to trouble a decent HW?
(maybe easy for me to say from behind a laptop!)

His credibility must be shot especially taking the Chisora count-out into consideration.

Possibly. But when he falls to the ground, after about 2 seconds his face seems to say that his head is clear. He looks quite lucid and with it.

Unless Wilder has a left glove full of concrete that was a dive! There was nothing in the right that followed.
