Not sure if this goes here....but I bought a second hand car that had has a wire in glove box for ipod/iphone.

Is there such a thing as an adaptor for Samsung phones (think they're called mini usb) ?

Or could an audio mechanic do a kind of snip n'clip for a new connection point?

    Thanks

All the stuff you'd ever need

Consider the Bluetooth streaming option which would be better than putting your phone in the glovebox.

Samsung galaxy phones have a specific connection (mine isn't mini usb anyway)

Its also possible that your car has usb, and the iPod lead you see is plugged into that.

    What car is it?

    Thanks Colm,

The car is a (old) 05 BMW z4. I guess that the cable was added by the last owner. I'm not sure where the cable goes after it disappears behind!

Should have mentioned this at start but the reason I wanted to hook it up was for the music on the phone. There is bluetooth also in car. A parrot 3200 LS. It is OK. Doesn't work as well with my Samsung as a previous Nokia (used to read texts, took commands etc).....

Not sure if it has any bearing but when I hook up an ipod to said cable or use a wee FM transmitter there is a horrible carrier tone over music. Makes it hard to listen to.

    Thanks a million
