Nintendo 3DS Black Screen of Death? Help!

    Hi guys,

    I have an Aqua blue 3DS since launch and its been working fine up until a few months ago.
    Even since around Christmas, it doesn't turn on. The blue light turns on, but the screen stays black. (It turns on, and shows a 'digital blackness' as opposed to just being off).

    I've looked online and some are saying its the 3DS' equivalent of the Red Rings of Death etc, the "Black Screen of Death".
    I followed a video on YouTube which showed that you open the back, and lift the WiFi card up, and put it back down again. Which I did. Twice.

    However the problem is still there. Obviously after three years the warranty is gone so I'd like to try and resolve the problem myself before paying someone to do it for me.
