Replacement for 1.6 petrol 2002 ford focus

    i have a 1.6 petrol 2002 ford focus at the moment, had it nearly 1 year and haven't had 1 problem with it, best car i have ever owned, my next car will be a second generation focus, just wondering what engine to go for?

    I'd stick with the 1.6 petrol tbh

    1.6 ti-vct is a nice petrol unit. It's relatively rare however.

    No. The following petrol engines were available:-

    1.4 L I4 Zetec-SE
    1.6 L I4 Zetec-SE
    1.6 L I4 Zetec-SE Ti-VCT
    1.8 L I4 Duratec HE
    1.8 L I4 Duratec HE FFV (Flexifuel vehicle)
    2.0 L I4 Duratec HE
    2.5 L I5 Turbocharged T5

    The 1.6 ti-vct has variable valve timing, 15bhp extra, and better economy than the ordinary 1.6.

    It was available on in Titanium and Ghia trims only here.

    Recently picked up a Focus with one of these. Very nice drive so far with decent power and economy.
