Anyone know where I can get one of these repaired, gaggia only have a rep up north and it's more a TV repair shop.

I'm in Cork so if a your knows of somewhere this can be repaired anywhere in Ireland would appreciate it.

Contact Keniworth electric 014968038. They repaired my Gaggia titanium a few months ago.Give them a ring first and they will tell you if they can repair it.It might save you a wasted trip.

    Thanks Harry

Can I ask what was wrong with your one and did it cost much to repair?

I have two problems, the first is the lcd screen not working, just shows a load of dots. Second problem is the grinder does it seem to be working, but that may be because of the control panel might be gone, which might be why the lcd screen is dodgy.

Kenilworth said they don't repair them anymore, watermark suggested I call them as well :-)

Sorry beer meant to update. Your guy couldn't look at my particular machine but put me in touch with a guy in Cork who he thought would be able to help.

I dropped the machine in to this guy just yesterday and while he can't promise anything he said he will have a look.

The problem is really that while repairing a machine is probably easy enough for anyone experienced with them in general, no one keeps spares for gaggia home spec machines.

To be honest for that reason, and that gaggia have no local repair centre in Ireland, I would advise against buying gaggia coffee machines for domestic use. .

Stuff fails or breaks that's fair enough, what's important is the support system that is in place to get it fixed.

For a five hundred euro machine, it's gonna be touch and go as to whether it's going to be economicly viable to repair, simply due to lack of local repair centres as far as I am concerned.

    Avoid gaggia like the plague

In fairness it seems to be just that machine that can't be fixed easily...

Do they sell them in the Republic ? If so then they should support them with service and parts. I don't think it is much to expect after shelling out €500 on a machine, it is hardly going to foster brand loyalty at the end of the day.
