    Seriously. how inept are they.

have two consoles in the "post" with them since wednesday, one was routed to cork the other meanwhile is just sitting in dublin. cork is an hour and a bit from me. they rerouted the parcel back to dublin. pretty much passing my house as they did so. i now have two parcels two seperate people sent me (both retro consoles n games). rang depo. no f****ng help what so ever. useless. promised they will be out tomorrow. rang again. different guy, not working tomorrow???

    Useless.

    Al.

Never had any issues with them, find them fantastic actually.

I had a parcel delivered to 'my' UK address in Antrim where the sender forgot to put my ID number on. They found it and sent on.

Had lots of parcels from the UK and never any problems

Have lost count how many times I've used them, and never had an issue.

Love them, not a bad word to say about them, the once I did need to contact them I did through their Facebook private message and found them great to deal with.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,906 ✭✭✭Steve X2

I find them good. They seem to drive throughout the night so you usually get deliveries very fast. The one time I'd a problem was that they deliveried someone elses package to me. Was sorted no problems.

I've had no problem either. It's an excellent service. OP I think you're just out of luck I'm afraid. Hopefully it gets sorted soon.

Great company and great service. I've used them numerous times and never once an issue. OP I'd imagine you're in the minority. As mentioned try message them through bookface or similar.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,734 ✭✭✭zarquon

OP, did you mess something up. Use PM all the time and never have an issue, they have a fantastic service. Did you use the right PMID and configure your local locker via your account?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 553 ✭✭✭Alter Egotist

didnt mess anything up. two different people sent me parcels using their service. havent received either. they are "busy" because its close to paddys day. just checked parcels again, one hasnt been updated since yesterday morning and the other was received today in dublin from cork at 3pm. i have no control over them becuae i dont have a parcel motel account and both people who sent parcels with them to me do. gonna ring again in the morning. persume their service isnt 24hrs

You have made a confusing thread here mentioning parcel motel, you are having an issue with the courier delivery service nightline.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 553 ✭✭✭Alter Egotist

no both parcels were sent via parcel motel. on my side then nightline take over. When i called helpline they said it was parcel motel also. no confusion.

ya probably not. its parcel motels fault not nightlines.

Parcel motel have done their side of the transaction as you have said the parcels are on route, nightline are doing the courier work now.

So nightline made a balls of the delivery not PM!. Parcel Motel have done their side. They have an excellent service if you deliver to a PM locker. The business is not a factor as i had a delivery today that was sent yesterday.

well parcel motel not nightline have sent both items and held both items now in Dublin so its Parcel Motels issue not nightline. Nightline have not been in posession of either parcel to date. its all parcel motel. i have spoke to both help desks. a Parcel Motel employee has admitted its their fault.

Nightline are the courier company who do the transporting, if you disagree how do you think parcel motel gets parcels delivered?

well parcel motel have admitted fault and holding the parcel in Dublin and of making the mistake in Cork.

Anyway. This is becoming a love/hate fest for and against parcel motel. my original post was meant to just vent my frustrations.

You said earlier thatt parcel motel and nightline are the one company and gave a link to nightline so one can deduce you rang the number off their website so it was nightline you were tallking to, plus its the nightline website you are using to track your website.

Prob best that A&R is kept to topics related to A&R and rather than logistics vent threads.

btw, I couldn't praise Parcel Motel / Nightline enough - great services

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 553 ✭✭✭Alter Egotist

ya as i said its turning into a battle. wasnt my original intention, will post pics of new games room when its set up and consoles when they arrive also.

Just to say parcel motel are great for delivery but any time ive been sent or sent something with them it's been a disaster. The item sits in the box for days waiting to be collected then takes ages to get delivered. Anpost is quicker and that's saying something.

The one problem I have with ParcelMotel is that there isn't a motel a minutes walk from my house. That and I buy stuff a lot more because of them!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 553 ✭✭✭Alter Egotist

Parcel Motel have lost one of my parcels in the warehouse/dropoff area. The customer care team actually told me they dont know where it is.The other one is in Limerick since 5:50 this morning because nightline interviened and rushed it to Limerick for me to pick up if i so choose or wait until Tuesday when service will resume again. Idiots. expensive loss of retro console at the moment.

Had my first experience with them yesterday and thought it was an absolutely fantastic service. No fuss no muss. Would absolutely recommend and use them again.

Limerick A+E is it? i thought they were delivering the parcels to your house, why are you keeping saying parcel motel in your posts its nightline that is doing the courier, parcelmotel do not have transport i.e vans, trucks unless they are after training pigeons.

I have no attachment to either company, answer me this one question what company is doing the physical moving of the parcels for you?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 553 ✭✭✭Alter Egotist

Ya i reported it also earlier. Appreciate you reporting it also, Thanks

Unfortunately, only the senders can chase them for cost. Get proof of delivery failure sent to the senders, and you should get your money back.

Can we close or move this thread please?

It doesn't belong in the A&R section really and the fighting and bickering just isn't how we roll here now is it guys :)

ya no problem. would appreciate closing it. Didnt mean to get an arguement. was looking for suggestions and help. posted hear because it is retro consoles im getting sent to me. Thanks to those who gave suggestions and help.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,147 ✭✭✭CathalDublin

I'm sure they will arrive with you soon, as mentioned PM are pretty good and I've never had a parcel lost yet. I think this end of the *service is new and I'm sure your parcels are not lost.
ie. Collecting from a PM Locker and arranging delivery to an address.

Oh and agree lock it up and move it to the correct forum, its way off topic here.
