You wake up in the morning and some gimp has robbed your wellies, the camp site is really mucky and you didn't bring any other footwear.
One of your mates has a spare pair that he will give you a loan of.

These are the pair he gives you

If I'm in England do you really think I'm going to care about wearing a Union Jack on my wellies? It's only in Ireland you'd come across someone who'd have an issue and even then they'd be the kind that like to drink alcohol in a field more regularly than at a festival!

Honestly, the mind boggles. What am I reading here.. You go to a festival in England, but take issue with wellies with a Union Jack on them?? With silly grudges like that it wouldn't surprise me if your English friends hid them on you. In their shoes (or boots), I'd do the same. Would teach you a lesson.

I'm Irish and I'd wear them without blinking an eyelid. Not because I don't want to go barefoot, but because this pre-historic notion that we should hiss at the Union Jack on sight is the carry on of an idiot.

with that in mind - you still dont see people wearing it in Ireland , and i have seen plenty of US , Brazilian ect ect being worn with no issue

Many people go to the summer metal festivals in germany, doesn't mean that they would want their country ruled by Germany though. I say that from a northern ireland viewpoint obviously

One way to avoid this happening is to take a massive dump in your wellies before you go to sleep. That way nobody will want to rob them. And when you come to put them on the next morning, sure it's your own ****e it doesn't matter if it gets all over your feet. In fact it might be a good blister preventative.
