I'm wondering what is involved in changing the Fuel filter in a 08 Renault Trafic 2litre engine? Is there any specific tools I need to change it?

I have the fuel filter and would like to change it. I have just changed the oil in it so what to also do the fuel filter.

    Thanks in advance.

Long bolt that goes straight down through the housing needs to be unscrewed. Its a torx head not sure of the exact size.

Disconnect the wiring plug and 2 fuel pipes. Fuel filter housing pull straight up. Undo centre bolt and remove lid.Remove filter and dispose of old fuel. Clean housing. Fit new filter and replace 2 seals( large 1 on housing and small one on the long bolt.Replace housing & refit wiring plug and fuel lines.Loosen bleed screw on top of housing and use the hand primer to fill housing with fuel. When fuel comes out through bleed screw tighten bleed screw and keep priming until primer becomes hard. Start van and let tick over for few minutes.
With some makes of filters for this van the large seal can be package too tightly and become out of shape which can make it very difficult to seal. Check condition of seal in the box, if its not circular in shape i would advise going for a dofferent brand.
