On Wednesday the 18th of March, Phoenix Martial Arts Limerick is organising its regular Bi Monthly martial arts event in Limerick City for the FAMILES charity. So far everyone that has been on the course has raved about it as a must do event.

This is the fourth course this year and we have had people travel from Dublin, Waterford, Clare Kerry, Tipperary and Co. Limerick.
Each event has drawn people from various martial arts including, Karate, Aikido, Ju Jutsu, Kung Fu, Escrima, Kobudo, Jo Jutsu and Kenjutsu.

The Teachers will be introducing people to intermediate use of Japanese Weapons, Okinawan Weapons, Chinese weapons, Filipino weapons, disarms and empty hand self-defence techniques.

Sifu/Sensei Brian Moloney will be covering a 1hr introduction to finer points of Japanese Ken Jutsu and Bo Jutsu,
    Chinese Swordsmanship and Staff,
    Okinawan Staff fighting,
    Empty-Hand Self Defence techniques
    (with and without weapons).

Instructor Harry Minogue will be covering a 1hr introduction to material from the Corto Combate Eskrima Syllabus including:
    Dirty Boxing and Pangamut
    Improvised Weapons
Use of Scarf, Bandana,Rope and hankerchief

Sensei Mark Holland will be covering a 1hr introduction to finer points of Okinawan Kobudo and self defence.

It should be a good event, so if you know anyone that might be interested in taking part please spread the word to them.
The course costs €24 and lasts roughly four three hours and runs from 7pm until 10pm.

All proceeds go to the Charity which is both Male and Female friendly.
