    Hey guys,

Getting two cars serviced next week and looking for an estiamted cost so that I know where I stand when I get the mechanics estimate:

    Car One: VW Polo 2003

    Full Service
    2 shocks
    2 front wishbone bushes
    2 new tyres

    Car Two: VW Passat 2006

    Full Service
1 replacement cable for driver door window (window is stuck in position and cable is broken, motor is ok)
    Front fog blub
    Rear Brake blub
Fitting of new motor for Air Con (purchased from UK)

    Hey guys,

Getting two cars serviced next week and looking for an estiamted cost so that I know where I stand when I get the mechanics estimate:

    Car One: VW Polo 2003

    Full Service 80 all in
    2 shocks 120
    2 front wishbone bushes 60
    2 new tyres 120

    PLUS (suspension)LABOUR 175

    Car Two: VW Passat 2006

    Full Service
1 replacement cable for driver door window (window is stuck in position and cable is broken, motor is ok) 150
    Front fog blub 15
    Rear Brake blub 15
Fitting of new motor for Air Con (purchased from UK) 200

I stuck in a few very rough guide prices (Im not in the trade) .I think you should have change from a grand if you shop around .But if course if you dont get a few quotes (and dont pay unless labour price agreed in advance)you could be royally ripped off.Cheapest place isnt always best either !As a 'keen' amateur mechanic I sometimes end up having to do things like stick back on windscreen washer bottles after 'pros' have been doing bigger jobs ....

Id imagine fitting the aircon motor might be trickiest job (front bumper off?)
