Stereo won't eject CD

    Hi there,

We have a Merc A150 that won't eject a CD. We've had the problem for ages and not done anything about it, but I finally need to do something now.

When you press the eject button the mechanism makes the tinest little 'clunk' sound but nothing else happens. I've looked on the internet and haven't found any obvious solutions - pin holes to override eject button etc..

The model of stereo is called 'Audio 5'; it's original equipment and integrated into the dashboard.

Does anyone know if there's any way to fix this myself - without going to the trouble and potential expense of having someone look at it?

I mean, I like listening to Bob Marley, but even his greatest hits don't stand up to 1000+ listenings. On the other hand, ask me anything about Bob Marley's greatest hits.

Thanks for reading and any help.

Going from experience the mechanism gives a lot of trouble. You will not be able to sort problem while unit is still in car. Is there a possibility that there might be 2 cd stuck inside ?

Okay, thanks for the reply. No, there's not two cds stuck - The CD also still plays fine... just won't eject

Cannot give any more advice without seeing the unit but all I can say is that your cd is repairable.
