Steam "Not Responding"

    It's just hanging when I open it, first time ever. There was a windows update earlier so maybe that's it. Any ideas?

    Is it a consistent problem? Is the Steam.exe process not responding in task manager?

    Yeah, still happening. Have to shut it down with the task manager every time.

    Thought I'd just reinstall Steam and see if that helps, and GREAT! It's deleting my entire library :)

    Yeah its pretty much down for every one. Can't even log into steam on the browser

    Steam should be back up now.

    Are you serious? I had to reinstall Windows 7 last week and I've been gradually putting all my stuff back on. This evening is the first chance I've had in nearly two weeks to sit down and play :(

    yup, its working again although according to reddit some people still are having problems. I just logged in in chrome but the client won't connect online.

    I can visit the store through my browser but the client still won't connect for me. I'm on Desura, people, Desura!
