leak on a closed system

Have a long standing issue with a leak on my heating that I'm now looking to fix.

When our house was being built our plumbers couldn't find a pipe they had put in the floor pre pouring of the concrete. They drilled the floor but nicked the pipe in a couple of places and never fixed it. We've had trouble since day 1 with no easy fix.

I reckon there are two options - one being leak detection followed by floor cutting and pipe fixing. The second option is bypassing the system with new pipes downstairs (maybe behind skirting).

Any advice/comments welcome on these or any other solutions

    Thanks!

Where to begin why on earth would you let them away without fixing the damaged pipework and why would anyone back fill the holes with out fixing pipework. Are you sure you hired plumbers and not a ********* (expletive removed by mod)

Any way which pipes is it? is it primary flow/return secondary flow/returnis does the heating use a manifold system or are the rads Teed off from the flow and return.

Running pipework behind skirting is a non runner because someone will put several nails in it when puting the skirting back. The way I see the only way is to chase back that leaking pipe and repair/replace it unless its possible to isolate the pipework and run the new pipework surface
