UPC IP question

This is a really silly question, and I should know the answer, but can somebody confirm it for me. Are residential UPC IP addresses specific to one particular router? Are they dynamic?

Somebody logged into my email account, I suspect that it's a person and that I know who it is, and I just want to verify that there's no such thing as an, eh, area IP or something?

So if the UPC IP is 80.100.x.y, is that assigned to one router? Or could lots of people have the same one (assuming that there's only one device behind each router)

Yes that's true each router has it's own unique public facing IP address.

Technically they are DHCP assigned addresses but are renewed very very rarely.

Thanks a million man. I thought this was the case, but i'm a bit frazzled after noticing the unusual email activity. Time for a password change

If its Gmail just setup two factor auth. You can use an SMS every time you log into a new machine, makes you very difficult to compromise.
