Washing my Ford Ka

    I need to know how to wash my ford ka without using a power washer, as she just failed an NCT because I put in a new power steering pump today in her, 3 hours before the NCT. NCT then failed me because there was allot of fluid around the part but I ran back to my mechanic and he said the pump is perfect and no leaks in the pipes attached to it! He said because it is full of fluid and it flowed all over the engine they failed me. It a free inspection but I need to know how to clean her without a power washer? Help ???
