    try partfinder.ie

It's a search service for breakers yards. There are a few around Dublin and surrounding counties.

How would you be failed for a hubcap not being there? Its usually the other way around

I reckon he means an alloy wheel center cap, which I think is a visual retest.

Go to a scrap yard, or try ebay.

    Def not. They're purely decorational

How can you be failed for NOT having a center-wheel hubcab?

It's this that I am looking for http://renbreakers.co.uk/stock/Renault-Megane-2002-2008-Alloy-Wheel-Centre-Cap/171233506092

They failed me on it. I knew I was short one but I didnt think it would fail it on me. I went to a couple breakers and they hadn't got one.

    I need it for Friday..

What kind of spare wheel have you got ? Is it a full size steel wheel ? What would happen if you turned up with one of them on, could they fail you ? I would not say so.

Edit - This guy selling two wheels with the cap for €50 and he is in Dublin ? Any use to you ?

They fail you for having them on as you can't see the wheel nuts.

    Exactly!!!

They failed you because you left them on and they couldn't see the wheel studs, not because one was missing. They cannot fail you for having one missing because it is not part of the test criteria, but they will fail you for leaving one on. Check your fail sheet.

No you don't. What you need is to take all the centre caps off before the retest. You don't need any centre caps, they're only cosmetic and no obligatory.

That just doesn't make any sense. Although funnily enough, I had a guy ask me for a loan of one of mine because they failed him for missing one too.

    I don't get it
