    Hi babydoc

Either the account holder or point of contact name on the account can, however when calling the sales repressentative will ask the person they are talking to if they have permission to discuss and authorise changes to the account.

    Thanks

    Al

    Hi Al,

I expected and anticipated such a response.

You can't answer any of my questions that I asked as I am not the registered owner of the eircom account.
But I can agree a contract extension.
    Bit strange that...

If you can't answer my questions (quoting the data protection legislation to me),  then why have you refused to answer the registered owners questions and abide by the wishes of the registered owner in her letter dated FEBRUARY 3RD 2014....

    Hi babydoc

I see from notes on your account that you had sent a complaint by email however as your name was not on the said account a reply was issued advising that the account holder must make the complaint in compliance with data protection legislations.

I understand this can be very frustrating and I apologise for all the inconvenience this has caused.

I have replied to another thread you were posting to asking you to PM some contact details for you and we will arrange a call.

I would like to be able to help you and clear this up so if you would like to PM a contact number for you I will arrange a call to you.

    Thank you
    Al

Its amazing but i am still awaiting a response to my pm's that were sent.

It is now March 18th and i have been asking questions since January 11th without response.
I wish the following to be answered seeing that you are refusing to do so by email/fax.letter/ pm on board.ie

    1. Why was i told in September of last year when i was offered a discount if i were to  remain an Eircom customer for another year

    (a)  THAT I WOULD BE GETTING NEXT GENERATION BROADBAND WITHIN 6 WEEKS OR AT THE END OF OCTOBER AT THE VERY
LATEST AND I WOULD HAVE TO DO NOTHING IN ORDER TO RECEIVE IT -  WHICH I NEVER GOT
    (b)   WAS I TOLD THIS AS AN EXTRA INCENTIVE TO KEEP ME AN EIRCOM CUSTOMER?
    (c)   IF THE REGISTERED OWNER WERE TO WITH TO CHANGE PHONE PROVIDERS ARE YOU GOING TO CHARGE A CANCELLATION
           FEE?  IF SO WHY??????
    (d)   In numerous emails you quoted the DATA PROTECTION LEGISLATION for the reason for not replying to my emails etc..
as i wasn't the registered owner of the account, but  i in september of last year could agree a contract extension!!

    (e)    WHY HAVE YOU FAILED TO ABIDE BY THE REGISTERED OWNERS WISHES IN EMAILS/LETTER AND REPLY TO MY EMAILS.

There are other issues that but i want eircom to reply to these issues here in public FIRST.

    Hi babydoc

The promise of an upgrade to NGB is not mentioned in eircoms terms & conditions of service. Plans can change from time to time however if you would like to PM me your landline number I will double check NGB plans for you area.

If the Agent did advise you of this you are entitled to make a complaint by contacting customer service on free phone 1901.

When an agent calls they ask if the person they are speaking has permission to discus and make decisioons on the account.

If you wish to bring this further you will need to contact eircom customer service on 1901. I recommend doing so in the presence of your mother so that she can providr permission to speak on her behalf about her account.

    Thanks
    Al

    This is a joke.
Phone 1901!!!!  That is a complete waste of time as is trying to email ccm@eircom.ie .
     boards.ie????.

I have been complaining about this issue since January 11.

If i can say i have the account holders permission to agree a contract extension, then why have eircom refused to answer my questions, as i have also had the account holders permission to do so...

As stated  numerous times the account holder requested answers in both by email and by letter signed on February 3 and eircom refused to respond to her requests.

Why was i told last September that i would be receiving NGB within 6 weeks or the end of October at the very latest.
This has got NOTHING  to do with terms and conditions, its based on the fact that  i may not have agreed a contract extension if this was not the case. And by being told that i would receive NGB by the end of October at the latest was it just a sweetener to keep me an eircom customer??

I fee that you are failing to understand the point that i am making.  Eircom agent Samantha whom i spoke with on feb 14th,  fully knew where i was coming from and was sorry. but its a pity when she made contact with James, that he didn't bother to respond to me by email

I still have yet to get the word Sorry in print..

    HI babydoc

I understand your feelings on this and I apologise for all the inconvenience this has caused. As I have previously advised the promise of an upgrade is not mentioned in the terms and conditions of service and considering this a cancellation will still be charged.
