Nope. A generalisation can be 100% true. I believe you have been socially conditioned to associate negaitivity inherently with all generalisations.

You believe all generalisations are negative in nature. Ironically this is a negative generalisation that you have made about generalisations.

A generalisation is a statement which applies to all entities within a particular group. There is no rrequirement for a generalisation to be inaccurate.

The statement, "all atoms are smaller than the Earth" is a generalisation as it applies across the board to all atoms. It is also true. A generalisation does not need to be inaccurate.

It's a personal pet peeve of mine that so many people decide that some words are inherently positive or negative when it isn't the case. See the world as it is without having to judge everything as postive or negative

Also, algebra is an excellent example of generalisations being used in a constructive manner.

Some people keep tigers as pets, there are also tigers used in circus' and movies. In the wild they mainly stay clear of humans, not all tigers are a danger to humans.
