Holiday booking from the UK?

Hi guys just wondering is there any way around this, my parents were looking at holiday online and it much cheaper going from the Uk but when she went to book it they said that she would need a UK credit card registered to a UK address. Ay advice on this? Thanks

Is that with an airline or a travel company? The airlines normally insist on a credit card based in the departure country but a travel agent/tour company shouldn't care - you just need to remind them that you will be billed in sterling so they will get paid the same as if you had a UK credit card.

However travel companies have to be registered and bonded and if it's a UK company, they're probably not authorised to sell travel packages in Ireland and that is more likely the reason in which case there will be no way around it unless you have a relative over there who can book it for you and claim that it's a gift for a special occasion i.e. person A (UK resident) books and pays for the package for persons B & C (your parents).

It's with a travel company, I will try another few sites and see if they are the same, thanks for your help.
