right im off this until the game is over, im confident with that line up..... but had a feeling all week we will be 3-0 up and they score in the last 10min...hope im wrong.....

I'll tell ye what lads...for anyone expecting him to get the boot in the next week or two yer gonna be disappointed because that is the team of a man secure in his future.

Majorly uninspiring... Kagawa must be on his way...and what was the point of spending 37million quid on a player like Mata when, when his back is against the wall his tactic is Straight up 442...(I know he's cup tied btw, just from a tactical viewpoint)

Still though anything could happen... Giggs has played well at CM in Europe this year

Why Fellaini is dropped is mental. One of the best outfield players for us on Sunday with a lot of good defensive play and neat short passing (after first five minutes)

Can be poushed into an advanced role and be super effective.

A midfield of carrick and giigs SCReAMs slow and potential to be over run. We haven't been successfull this year with slow build up.

A beaming David Moyes: "Nemanja Vidic has a groin strain. Ideally we wanted a lot of forward players on the pitch. We will be positive at every opportunity.
"We are capable of scoring two goals in the last 10 minutes if it came to that. We will go for it early doors but we are mindful of not losing a goal on the counter-attack."

Pretty sure he meant to say conceding there..

we need 3 goals at least to go through why would you want defenders on the bench?!!

I didnt know Vidic had a strain, but you should always have a natural defender on your bench no matter whats at stake. If Rio or Jones get injured surely ud want a defender instead of a CM ??
Why do i even have to ask this?

You can only make 3 subs... Plenty of room for attacking players INCLUDING a defender on the bench.

Very uninspiring line up once again.
    Some real head scratching decisions.
Still confident we can get the result to go through. Just have to believe and keep the faith.

Im fully convinced he's picked Giggs and Ferdinand in an attempt to dispel rumours he's fallen out with them. He's got no control there whatsoever

I agree we should always have a versatile defender on the pitch but who? Carrick will slot in CB if Ferdinand or Jones is injured, Valencia as one of the wing backs. No point in putting a youth player (or Buttner) on the bench if there is not situation they will be used. No other defenders to chose from.

We are the pride of all Europe, the cock of the North!

4-0 win. 2 from Rooney, 1 from RvP & Giggs with the last one!

Even the RTE line-up is shíte tonight. Dropping Giles for Cunningham on a night like tonight? Surely Dunphy hasn't the legs anymore to carry the whole thing himself! #Noel Curran out!

We may never see Giles on the panel for a Manchester United Match again! This will also probably be Bill's final Manchester United game.

Meh line up but having said that I was really happy with the starting 11 that started against Liverpool and that was abysmal, so who knows?

I'll say it again, not to stir it up and I know I will get the glory hunter/real fan thrown at me but, if I thought defeat tonight would guarentee Moyes immediate sacking I would take that.

Not sure he had any choice but to pick Rio. Giggs is a strange one. It's hard to say anything bad about him but there has to come a time when we stop relying on a bloody 40 year old.

If by some miracle we knew for sure that a defeat tonight would 100% guarantee Moyes' exit, I'm sure a lot of us would take that deal.

Giles is clueless. The same man who said Carrick needs to go and Moyes only made one signing because he was made Man Utd manager late into the summer.

Speak for urselves. How can a supporter ever want their team to lose any game.
    Cop on.

Job saving performance so far from the team for Moyes.

I'm loving this. Completely different to how the team have been playing all season.
