    Do you ever STFU?

De Gea's save was ****ing immense.
Read what I wrote again. He started like that. He had a decent game but if you watch the start of the match he looked very awkward and unsettled.

No, he got stuck in from the start, if you watch all the match he got stuck in, he got forward, he got back, he made some very important interceptions.

He gave the ball away a total of 7 times in the first 5 minutes. As I said, it took him a while to get settled into the game.

First it was crosses. Then it was giving away penalties. He'll have them digging escape tunnels next.

Once he is first out them then they get blown up I'll be happy with that. :)

Danny Mills raised a point on MOTD2 that I have noticed for a long time, there is almost no pace in the Utd team.

The central midfield has hardly any pace,Carrick is like a turtle,Cleverley is slow,Fellaini is slow .
Rooney,Mata,Kagawa and Van Persie are not fast .
Young has a bit of pace but he is a poor footballer and Valencia has lost a yard or two and is in atrocious form.

Wellbeck,Nani and Januzaj are the only players with any bit of pace but they arent regular starters.

If a team has no pace its easy for teams to defend against them.

The passing out of defense was shocking in the first 20/25mins it set the whole tone for the what was to come of the match imo.

The rumours going around that we have 200 million to spend in the summer, there's no way whoever is in charge of the financials at the club, after this embarrassing season, could let Moyes spend that kind of money when there's nothing to say it will change around next season and it will only leave the next manager in with players who might not fit their system.

It doesn't make sense, letting him spend a quarter of a billion pounds on a hope that things will change around. It just can't happen.

Yet another false dawn in recent weeks, with two decent results against low table teams, and posters on here were falling for it yet again. Sure as long as Moyes doesn't play Cleverley, Young and Valencia we'll have a chance right?

We could have gotten lucky in this game and defended our way to a respectable result like has happened the odd time against good teams this season, but it was never the case that a corner had been turned going into this game with the new magic-fix line up.

So the ridiculous blame game merry-go-round continues. It turns out the sub-standard play we've seen all season continues even when Cleverley, Val and Young are out of the team. So now it's Rafael, Januzaj, Rooney, Jones and Vidic that are getting the criticism. There's also the attitude of the entire squad, the running of the club and the transfer policy and tactics of the previous manager that can be used as excuses.

The people who want to defend the indefensible performance of Moyes this season desperately need these targets to justify their argument that it's not his fault. They can throw in the odd line about how Moyes needs to improve, but they'll be sure to dedicate most of their posts to complaining about anything other than the real problem at the club.

But even posters who know it's Moyes' fault get caught up in this bullshít. Picking holes in individual players' performances, abilities and careers, just for the sake of venting. It's the wrong thing to do. The problem is Moyes. He has turned a good team, a team of champions, into mid-table shíte. He is out of his depth. Every player has underperformed this season and there is a very obvious reason for that. Criticising players now is pointless when the man in charge is not capable of managing this team. Give the players a chance, wait until we get a proper manager in and then see how they do.

    A desperate performance from United.

Of course there were many many on here raving recently about Rooney, Mata, Carrick, Felliani. . . . . conveniently forgetting they were playing against the likes of Crystal Palace and WBA.

What planet are you on? Fellaini had a great game, he was one of the goods in a bad game, you're starting to sound like a certain lord who posts nothing but negative, every post negative, I highly doubt that you're even a fan

I really don't mean this as a dig, but you are looking at mediocrity too long if you think Fellani had a great game. Defensively he did OK at times, can't question his effort but he offered nothing creatively.

The sooner Evra leaves the better for united in my opinion. I was disgusted with his reaction when Rooney miss placed a pass in the second half, threw his hands in the air and walked back as Rooney was bursting a gut to get back, it was shameful.

my worry is the good young players from the last couple of seasons like degea, rafael, smalling, even chico, will be ditched by moyes in favour of his type of player.

I meant Rio hasnt been the same player this season. Time has caught up with him. A top class player for us. Vidic isnt near as good without Rio.

Vidic has never had a consistent run in a settled defence with anybody other than Rio beside him so you don't have any evidence for that claim.

Id like to think moyes would turn it around next year with some signings but the performances and tactics just give me no hope whatsoever

Weird thread. I was abused from a height a few weeks ago and called all kinds of names when I suggested that vidic should have been stripped of his captaincy as soon as he made his intentions to leave the club known.

You were probably abused because so many people dislike you because you whine like you are doing in this post so often.

No he didn't. You're losing the run of yourself.

Someone said on here a while ago that Jones can't tackle properly.

I think I'd agree with that on the basis of the tackle he made in the first half. He nailed Gerrard (?) and got the ball.

It looked like he did serious damage to his knee though in the process. I think it's only a matter of time before he does so.

He's good but when he goes to ground he's reckless.

There hasnt or isnt any player as good as Rio has been to play along side him. Time catching up on Rio has been a big blow to us defensively this season and I think he will prove to be harder to replace than Vidic

Might seem strange but I'd really like to see Liverpool win the league now. Growing up as a United fan in Ireland I never truly understood the rivalry with Man City but the hatred instilled in me towards Liverpool was an indoctrination rivaled only by the catholic church.

But as an adult now I always try and consider myself a fan of football first and foremost and a fan of Man Utd second, and it's hard now not to be rooting for Liverpool somewhere deep down in my heart of hearts. They haven't had it easy, they or the fans, and as much hate and vitriol they threw at Utd and us over the last 20 years, I think amidst the jealousy, there was a hint of admiration and a sense of hope which they claimed from our march to the top under Ferguson. As said, they've done it the hard way under a very good manager in Rogers and without cashing in.

Ferguson knocked them off their perch and if, god forbid, they climb back up, at least we'll have the challenge of knocking them off again.

Just out of curiosity do people think Rafael can be our long term RB?

Just thinking of his challenge on Gerrard today, there was no need for it. A very silly rash challenge, he is way too fond of these kind of tackles. Can also be a bit reckless with his positioning.

Don't get me wrong, he can be brilliant at times, but I would like to hear some opinions.

Also if Rooney is made captain next year (presuming he will be), I would like to see De Gea be given vice-captain. I love his passion, his pride in the jersey, also one of our most important players.

It was a clean and hard tackle on their captain who is old. It was in an area of the pitch where it was safe to make it. It was exactly the type of tackle you want to see in a big derby game.

The fact that Jones got himself hurt making the tackle, and gets hurt so often, is a worry. If you said that was the issue, I would agree. But complaining about the tackle itself is all sorts of wrong.
