Moyes and united owners/board know fans are not happy with results. You can't really be suggesting the plane stunt and publicity suddenly made them aware of anything?

No, not saying it makes them aware.
Saying it makes it harder to ignore; Moyes had to address the issue several times over the last few days, the media coverage has the pressure building on him. It's harder for him to come out with the "Everyone loves me" guff when there's a big example showing they don't.

To be honest Liverpool deserve to win the league. You don't have to like it but respect where it's due.
If they get more points than anybody else they deserve it, if not then they don't.

this situation reminds me of the Trapp one, hoping with blind faith, there is nothing to look forward to, its depressing! If he stays till next season, the several months it would take before they get rid of him, will scupper next season on you too!

We're only 9 points behind Arsenal and they've Everton next, if there was a few more games and we were actually good I'd say we could catch them

Too late for us now though, but Everton could get 4th

Some might like to see pretty football rewarded but when that pretty football is coming from Liverpool, I'll happily let my pettiness get the better of me.

I'll be unashamedly cheering on City for the rest of the season during this title battle.

What about if they get same amount of points, and win on goal difference?
Say one goal? In the last minute?

Bollox to that, putting up with victorious chelsea or city supporters would be easier than listening to liverpool supporters. Most of them are bad enough when liverpool are ****, imagine how bad they would be if they tasted success;)

A league is won over a season not the last day or last minute of a game. the team that has the superior record deserves the title even if it comes down to goal difference

I would rather City win today as it gives us a sliver of hope for 4th even if it is slim

Title i dont really care tbh

That is loyalty gone mad. You would be one of the type of people that accept everything a government does because they are in charge?

If you don't think he is up to the task, then your loyalty to the CLUB is to try to get it changed not standing proudly in the stands while your team drops further down the ladder. I'm sure Liverpool, City or Chelsea wil feel right mugs and admire our 'class' when they are no too busy trying to win things and compete in the CL next year.

I agree that booing players/manager because of a bad performance is uncalled for, but plenty of people have pointed out all the issues with Moyes, many of his own doing, while the only defence is that we don't fire managers.

Moyes is counting on that to somehow keep a job he is clearly unable for

In the 5 seasons prior to SAF becoming manager United finished each season in the top 4.

In SAF's first (partial) season in charge they finished in 11th.

They finished runners up the following season (in which he bought McClair, Anderson and Bruce) but in his third season they fell back to 11th (in which Hughes came back and Sharpe got his first games).

13th in his 4th season (bought Wallace, Webb, Ince and Pallister), but the FA cup win that season saved his ass, the season where this banner made it's debut:

    Ta-Ra-Fergie-banner-007.jpg

In his fifth season they finished 6th (Irwin arrived and Giggs signed, Kanchelskis came in late-on), but also won the Cup Winner's Cup.

Second in the league again in his 6th season (Schmeichel and Parker), but there was the League Cup and the Euro Super Cup.

Finally, in his 7th season in charge, SAF ended the 26 year wait for the league title.

    That's loyalty. :)

Moyes will continue to say fans support him and want him to do well because most do. He won't say they are happy with how things are because they are not.

The other side is the Glazers don't care about these protests and ultimately that makes them pointless.

They brushed off fan protests against their ownership that saw fans set up groups just to be a voice against them and even saw them set up a new club. Meanwhile the Glazers increased ticket prices, increased the capacity of the stadium and introduced new schemes that forced fans to buy tickets for cup games, fan power!

Fans tried to disrupt sponsors as a way to stick it it to the Glazers and it did **** all. Even when a key partner in Vodafone left two years early while United were not performing on the field it didn't matter. United turned themselves into a commercial juggernaut increasing revenue at a rapid pace.

Mata's performances so far for United have either been very good or poor, simply, the ones where he has played as a #10 (West Ham, Crystal Palace, Villa) have been very good and ones where he has been poor have been out wide. Hopefully thats it now and we keep him where he belongs. Wayne Rooney benefits so much from Mata taking the workload of a #10 on, he can make runs in behind and score goals, he is playing really well. While Kagawa will no doubt be hindered by playing out wide, he benefits SO MUCH by having a player inside him in Mata who is on the same level of football intelligence as him. Thats why we are seeing Kagawa, Mata and Rooney play well. Lets keep that as much as we can. For Bayern, I think it absolutely has to be:

    De Gea
    Rafael-Jones-Rio/Vidic-Buttner
    Carrick-Fellaini
    Valencia-Kagawa-Welbeck
    Rooney

The back 4 have to actually pull their head out of their arse for it to be a competitive game, so don't expect much.

Pleased by the performance today, no less because we went behind and didn't curl up in a ball and cry, we actually went after the game.

Rafael picked up an injury today and Valencia also had an injury that's why he wasn't on the bench.

Themselves and City have played some lovely football.

I like watching Liverpool play this season, something similar to watching Tottenham last season. And any fair minded football supporter really has to admit that they are playing some really really good stuff.

But I would sell my eldest for parts if it meant stopping them winning the league.

I suppose that it's to do with the amount of Liverpool supporting mates I have, combined with the fact that traditionally they are our biggest rivals.... The disappointment of this shambles of a season is bad enough but to have to stomach Liverpool winning it would be too much to bear.
I have a couple of mates that support Chelsea, and a lot of my extended family in the UK are City supporters but I would much prefer to see one of those two win the league over Liverpool.

Chelsea, City, Hitler, Liverpool would be the order of whom I'd prefer to see win the league.

    Yes, lots of times.

They added a new one as well - "stand up for David Moyes, stand up for Davis Moyes..."

    That's loyalty. :)

Unfortunately that kind of loyalty has little chance of working today and belongs to another age of football.

Nowadays so much of a clubs income is based on sponsor deals and European TV/prize money. If you have 3/4 bad seasons in row, never mind 6, sponsors will stop signing big deals and it will dissolve away. That money is needed to make the signings to get the team back in Europe and challenging for the title, fergie did it in an era when clubs still made their money from gate receipts and player sales and so long as you were a reasonably wealthy and popular club as united were this money didn't go without being relegated.

When a team is performing badly, Loyalty is more like a gamble today and shouldn't necessarily be viewed as a sensible righteous thing to do when concerning football management.

I am old enough to remember the early SAF times. There's no comparison to now. SAF was a proven winner. You could see ongoing improvement & what he was trying to achieve. None of this applies to Moyes.

    This worrying
So a back four of Jones-rio-vidic-Buttner then
With no defenders on the bench.
Carrick might end up playing at the back again.

It's mad how often Carrick has been called upon at centre back, given that there have been 5 international centre backs at the club for the past few years

If Rio plays we may as well give Bayern a walk-over.Sadly his time is done.
