Black. Doesn't show the dirt. Had white bar tape once, felt like I spent more time cleaning it than riding the bike!

In my case at least white bar tape very quickly became dirty ever more off-white bar tape, so I'd go black or red.

    Black ftw.

One of my bikes is black and red, so I got red hood covers to break up the black.

That's my problem... I gave the bike a good clean yesterday. Stripped it down, scrubbed it, lubed it and when I finished my bars were mocking me :) The white looks great initially though.

I got them in Duff Cycles in Donaghmede, they're Bontrager RL cages.

    Thanks for that.

As already said - white and keep it clean!

I'm trying to imagine what it'd look like with black or red tape but I think white just looks better on the bike.

I think some better quality white tape is the way to go and just keep it clean.

They look great when they're new but the red wears away very rapidly on the inside (becoming white).

I went with white and red a while back

I assume that isn't a 3T fork on your 2.1. It looks as if you have done a few modifications, but I'm guessing that's a 2013 compact.

Haha yeah... There was a mark on the fork from a warning sticker that was buggin me so I put the 3T sticker over it :-) It's the 1.2 2013 compact. Have swapped out the stock Bontrager wheels, saddle, seat post & stem.

Not digging the red and white bar tape. I have white at the moment, think I will just go black next time around.

Went with white Prologo tape to match the saddle. 298630.jpg

I was looking at getting that same tape. Don you have any pictures of it fitted, thought maybe it would look to 'messy' with the print throughout it and that it would have to be wound perfectly even to look uniform on the bars?

Hopefully fitting it tomorrow, I'll post a pic once it's done. The print is offset so it fingers crossed I can wrap it ok :-)

I like them, they're not the lightest wheels out there but they're a big improvement on the Bontrager wheels that came with the bike. They roll well too. If you're used to a shallower rim you'll feel them in crosswind though.
