Hopefully someone has encounter this and can provide some assistance.

Periodically the devices connected to the Eircom router via wifi drop the internet connection.
They stay connected to the router, but limited connection is shown.
Happens across a variety of devices, windows 8.1 notebooks, win 8.1 tablet, BB Playbook, smart phones.
When I run the IE troubleshooter it returns the follow: 'the remote device won't accept the connection'.

Have a Win7 and Vista Ultimate device hardwired to the router and both of these connect with no issue and the other devices connect fine via a mobile sim enabled hotspot.

    Any advice appreciated.

    BB

You probably need to update the Wifi driver on your PC/Lappy....

but before this you can check by lower the wifi securiuty to WEP on the modem. if that works then CHANGE IT BACK and update the driver.

    Seemed to right itself yesterday.
Bit of a recurring issue since eFibre was installed.
