wont stop picking lip!!

    Hi all,
    Our 3 year old girl has developed a habit in the last 3 mths of picking her lip.she is constantly at it,even her teachers at playschool have said it to us.her lips are very sore looking and she wont let us put cream on them either.anyone out there with similar problem and possible solution??thanks

    Wait until she's fast asleep and put vaseline on her lips.

    My little boy gets cracked lips from brushing his teeth, his skin is sensitive to the toothpaste... and I do the above to help soften them.

    He never wakes up, but he's a good sleeper.

    You could try buying her a little mirror and cream and a flavoured lip cream for afterwards and get her to put the cream on and see how that will make her feel better.

    In short, involve her.
