Do you want to know about claiming from your house insurance?

Have you looked at why its actually getting damp?

The onus is on you, OP, to find out what is the cause of the damp. If it is a sudden isolated burst pipe, or a specific storm event, then your insurers should be notified and proceed to claim for repairs.

If it is a maintenance problem or a gradually occurring cause, then your insurance policy will not cover it
