    Hi all.
    Just a quick question on emmisions numbers.
    My car passed the nct today(99 accord 2.0 petrol.
    Ive noticed a dramatic increase in my emmisions with regards to previous tests.

    Co high idle has been .07,.16,.18 and today was .04.

    High idle hc has been 45ppm,57ppm,38ppm and today 103ppm.

    Lambda 1,1,1.02 and today 1.03.

    Im trying to decipher whats going on here and have my own suspicions.

    What do you guys think is going on?

    these results have been from 4 consecutive years.

    Is the exhaust system totally leak free. A small leak would be my guess. It could also have a small leak at induction side.

    Has the oil consumption increased at all between the 1st and 4th test do you know?

    What mileage has it covered and when was it last serviced?

    Hi.
    207000 kms and just serviced.
    Cant hear any holes in the exhaust.
    No noticable oil consumption either.

    It's probably fair wear and tear and could be any one of a number of things.

    Simplest would be to make sure the spark plugs are gapped properly and put some injector cleaner through it and give it a good run. .

    After that, your into expense and hassle but if I were to pick one thing, I'd take a look at the switching of the O2 sensor.

    You've 120,000 miles on that thing and its age at that mileage is bound to be reflecting its performance.
